A group of Afghan businessmen created Lemar Television in 2006. (Mobi Group).The television station is a for-profit business with its headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan. Shareholders of the business are from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates. The television channel airs programming around-the-clock.
A half-hour newscast in Pashto is produced by Lemar Television’s news section three times every day. English and Persian news are also produced by the news division. The television network provides a selection of leisure, sporting, and cultural programming. Also shown are feature films from Turkey and India.
